An amazing honeymoonThe Park Hotel is excellent. We enjoyed an unexpected 2 day stay in the hotel which offered very comfortable accommodation, hospitality and great service. We had a personal welcome and would be delighted to recommend it to other travellers. more
I returned to The park Hotel for my Ruby Wedding Anniversary - having stayed there for my honeymoon (I originate from Thurso) I appreciate that the Staff knew it was special for me, but the room was excellent, food very good, and customer care made it so special for me. I fully recommend the family run hotel to anyone wanting... more
myself and seven friends stayed for one night as part of a scottish tour, we were all very impressed with both the facilities in the hotel as well as the courtesy of the staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. overall ,an ideal stopover hotel with excellent food and fscilities. more
I stayed at the Park Hotel for one night whilst up in the area on business. Big mistake. The (cold, damp) room was very shabby: peeling wallpaper, a saggy mattress that had seen better days, and a pretty tired and dismal looking bathroom, too. The staff were friendly enough, helpful with local information. However, the thing which let down the... more
We are very confused with this review, they have posted a review in January 2008 for a March 2007 stay ! The hotel has been completely refurbished and none of our beds are more than 24 months old, none of our rooms are damp and the only peeling wallpaper in the whole place was in a bathroom ceiling, caused by...
Well, of all the places we stayed in the Highlands, we had our best night here. The room is business-like and comfy (yes, a little like a chain-hotel room in a motel-style building, but definitely above standard for the area), with a great shower, nice bed, good flatscreen telly etc. Parking was ample, and breakfast too - plenty of hot... more
Sitting on the A9 into Thurso the Park Hotel is handy for business travellers (of which there were many during my stay). The staff were friendly though the young girl who handled my breakfast orders every day had little grasp of English. I chose the 'Executive' room and was disappointed to find it in a chalet-like annex behind the hotel... more
Very friendly staff who make you welcome and bend over backwards to make your stay enjoyable. Rooms are clean, decent sized and well equipped. Food was excellent and breakfast faultless. Lovely atmosphere and, although appears expensive, compared to other hotels in this area is actually very reasonable. Would definitely return. more
We used this Hotel as a convenient place to stop for the night whilst on business in the far north after a 450 mile drive north. The staff were lovely - an opinion aided by them reducing our room rate after our arrival! We stayed in a new annex at the rear which is reached by going outside into the... more
Spent one night at this hotel while travelling around the Highlands, in a family room with my 2 children. The room was not large but space was adequate with a double bed & bunk beds, nicely decorated and very clean. All the staff were very friendly, efficient & hard working, from the warm welcome at check in, in the dining... more
My wife, our two college-age children, and I spent a great three day weekend in Thurso at the Park in late May 2006. This family owned and operated small hotel has a friendly staff and reasonable rates. The full Scottish breakfast was very ample, obviating the need for much of a lunch. We typically just grabbed something light at the... more
