Of the three hostels I stayed in while travelling in Scotland and England, this was by far the best. It's clean, bright, well located, and has spacious rooms. I appreciated having private bathroom facilities, made good use of the well stocked kitchen facilities, and was pleased with the continental breakfast. more

I was very pleased with this hostel overall, it was in a fantastic location and the staff were friendly and welcoming. This hostel was clean, but not cheap, and we were told we had a double room, only to be given a 2 bed room - there is a difference! The kitchen facilities were good, as was the cafe/bar, but all in all very basic accommodation quite far from the centre of Edinburgh. more

This hostel is an amazing bargain. It has a great location in the Old City, walking distance to the Royal Mile and the Castle and only 10min from the New City.
