The hotel is located very close to the castle and other sites in Edinburgh so a plus for location but it is not a 3 star hotel. The hotel is very luxurious but the restaurant is cheaper and affordable for an ordinary tourist. It's located in a great, a little impersonale, room. All dishses tasted superbly and were served in a very good way. The staff was extremely kind and quick. Starter, second plate and coffee for nearly 23 pound. Recommended. more

Our room was booked by our travel partners who were assured by what they saw on the hotel website, of a quality hotel. This was not the case. It was the edinburgh tattoo and festival and been looking forward to visiting edinburgh for years.
