We stayed at this small hotel for 3 nights. It is situated in a hamlet of Port Appin, with the lovely quaint ferry to Lismore about 300m from the hotel. The staff were attentive, genuinely interested in trying to help, whether it was organising rented cycles or reccommeding places to walk nearby. Although the food portions looked small initially, it... more

We check into Airds at 14h20 on 6 April 2008 and check out on 9 April 2008. Ah luxury. Heated floors in the bathroom and a full tub with real shower head on it. They have my favourite toiletries: Bulgari! Airds was originally an 18th century ferry inn for “those in passage” to Lismore Island. I take a nap, clean... more

5* - we use this hotel when we are on our way to Mull or one of the other islands - you really feel as though the holiday has started! We call it the Chewton Glen of the north - true praise indeed. Superb rooms and wonderful food - a little hidden away but completely worth the effort. The outside... more

We have just spent the most fantastic Valentines weekend in what can only be described as a perfect break in a perfect location. At the Airds hotel, guest satisfaction comes first, with meticulous attention to detail. On arrival at our room, albeit a bit later than all the other guests, we were greeted with a chilled bottle of champagne and... more

12 months on, I am still reeling from disappointment with my stay at the Airds for Christmas 2006. I chose the hotel with great care on the basis of the many rave reviews I read. It sounded just my sort of place: good food, good wine, and a warm, relaxed atmosphere. I gritted my teeth and agreed to the extortionate... more

My husband and I booked for two nights prior to a cruise on the Hebridean Princess which departs from Oban. The hotel far exceeded our expectations for sheer service and courtesy of staff. The food was wonderful, even for me a fussy eater! and the restaurant looks out over the magical Loch Linnhe. The service was impeccable and the staff... more

The clock in the lounge was 5 minutes fast. Try as I did that is the only thing I could find wrong. We booked at the last minute and only the Junior Suite was available. This was expensive but since it was an anniversary treat we decided to take it. We were not disappointed. Whilst we would have preferred a... more

My wife and I recently stayed here on our holiday in Scotland, and this Hotel never disappoints. We have been here before, but we always hope that it will be as good as we remembered. Well, it most definitely is! Lovely room, and the best food that we have ever had anywhere, all in a glorious location close to the... more

Amazing views at breakfast looking out over Loch Linhe, fabulous rooms, superb attention to detail and perfect quality food. This hotel will spoil you so that you will always compare when you stay elsewhere - and wish you hadn't! more

We have just come back from a couple of nights at the Airds Hotel. We chose it simply because of the reviews we read online. Neither my husband nor I have ever stayed in any hotel, either through business or pleasure, which has offered the excellent service and attention to detail that we experienced at the Airds Hotel. The moment... more
