My husband and I returned to Ardtara for our 6th visit this July. We love the warm welcome received in this lovely setting; the furniture, fabrics, and appointments in the main rooms and in the bedrooms are beautiful and superbly comfortable. The garden is delightful either to wander about in or to enjoy through the huge windows. The meals are... more

On the 6th July 08 we visited Ardtara as a family (Grandparents, Parents and Children). From the minute we arrived we were made to feel so welcome and at home. The house is set in beautiful countryside and has a lovely lawn to the front that the kids enjoyed playing on. The food was exceptional. Our bedroom was lovely and... more

My husband and I had a very special stay in Ardtara in July. The welcome by Valerie was, as always, warm, enveloping and sincere. Our downstairs room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean and we settled in very quickly. Dinner was a very special occasion with family and friends and the food was delicious and the service excellent. Waking up... more

We have been to Ardtara several times in the last few years, and would go every year if we could. It is like a home away from home, but with the added bonus of fabulous meals and attentive service. We feel so fortunate to have discovered this great getaway, where we are welcomed like family, and our needs are met... more

We found this place quite consistent with the other positive Trip Advisor reviews: attractive, hospitable, serene ... and tidy. We particularly liked the fireplace in the bedroom -- quite romantic (yes, it was nippy outside). All in all, a happy find for us. more

Stayed for one night enroute to ferry at Larne. We were given a warm welcome by Valerie the manageress and our bags were promptly taken upstairs by a cheerful young man who offered us tea, which was gladly accepted. Our room overlooked the back and was directly above the kitchen, the smells and the noise came in through the badly... more

My wife and I stayed at the Ardtara House in April 2008. The place was quite nice and we were shown to our room. It was finished with old furniture matching the period of the property. However when my wife was going to put some clother in the wardrobe the inside was filfthy with dust. On further inspection other parts... more

The Ardtara Manor Home is a wonderful place to stay. Although not really close to any tourist sites, it makes a great stay over between northern and southern Ireland. This manor home has the warmth of staying in a friend’s home. The rooms are spacious, clean and extremely quiet. Located down a long drive off a quiet road, a great... more

We stayed at Ardtara House from Sat 27th to Mon 29th Oct and we will certainly be returning as soon as possible. The surroundings were lovely, the food was sumptuous and our bedroom was a little haven of peace and quiet. But what really stands out is the service we received from everyone. Valerie was most accommodating and the waiters... more
