My husband and I have just returned from a one night stay at the Fairyhill hotel, celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. From the moment we stepped through the door we were made to feel special. We were greeted by name, shown to our room without the ususal fuss of hotel paperwork, and left to enjoy our surroundings. The room was... more

Everything about the Fairyhill Hotel is outstanding. Because a better room was available, we were upgraded at no extra cost (and speculated whether it was the one Tony and Cherie had . . .) Gin and tonic with delicious nibbles was a prelude to eating one of the best steaks I have ever tasted - the restaurant is the deserved... more

Took a trip through Wales on our Honeymoon staying at various hotels and this place was by far the best hotel we stayed at, in fact this hotel is probably the best in Wales if not the whole of the UK. Everything about the hotel was fantastic (except the weather, but if they could have fixed it, I'm sure they... more

We (me and my husband) have stayed here twice now and couldn't have been made to feel more welcome, or felt more relaxed on each occasion. The terrace and gardens are stunning, the food excellent and the wine list is a cracker, with some lovely older vintages/stellar producers on offer. Fairyhill is suberbly located for exploring the rugged and beautiful... more

We booked for lunch on recommendations and having read reviews. At first it looked as though the experience was going to be good. Drinks on the terrace, excellent staff, but once headed for the dining room it all changed. My wifes starter of goats cheese, sundried tomatoes and olives was mediocre. My starter of ham fritter was dry and certainly... more

I have spent the last four New Years at Fairyhill, as well as other times of the year when I'm in need of a bit of Welsh countryside. The hotel is lovely, the gardens are really nice to walk around with streams, tiny waterfalls and pet ducks. The resturant is the real reason to stay here. They try to locally... more

I was pleased to have been able to secure a room at Fairyhill over the New Year break. The hotel, and indeed the restaurant, came through in fine style - it was a fantastic way to end the year on a high. The welcome was warm, our bags were whisked away and we were ushered into the sumptuous lounge with... more
