My new wife and I stayed at the Lincol House Hotel on friday night and found it to be welcoming and friendly. Having travelled the world over the last 24 years I was greatly relieved to find such well appointed hotel that was the par of many I had found at considerably more expense overseas. The Hotel is well maintained... more

This hotel is in good location for getting into the main centre of cardiff. The room we had was large and bed was really comfortable staff in breakfast were friendly and welcoming. It is great for staying somewhere different if you do not want to stay in large corporate hotels it is unique ad the room wasvery clean and not... more

My wife and I stayed for a Saturday night. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room well presented and clean and the breakfast very nice. This hotel is ideally located for the city centre (10 minute walk through the park) and within a very pleasant part of the city. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would... more

A wonderful hotel in a most convenient part of the City away from the hustle and bustle in a converted Victorian property carrying all the same charm and character of the era! We had a four poster room - and can only describe it as fantastic! Great breakfast. Helpful staff. Secure parking - but most of all quiet and peaceful!!... more

Have just returned from an overnight stay at the Lincoln - first time at the hotel, although we stay in Cardiff fairly frequently (our Daughter attends the Uni); I suspect we are unlikely to stay any where else when we visit the city in the future. The hotel is a grand Victorian villa, located in a lovely part of the... more

This hotel made me realise how difficult it must be, as a hotelier, to satisfy your customers when they all bring their own subjective opinions to your establishment. We walked into our nice, clean bedroom, which actually looked like it had been recently re-decorated, and gave a little 'oh' of disappointment. Perhaps the elegant and obviously expensive wallpaper on the... more

This is an excellent small hotel in a prosperous, mainly residential, area of Cardiff but with only a pleasant 15 minute walk to the city centre through the nearby Sophia Gardens (cricket fans please note for 2009!) and along the river. Staff are charming. The rooms are elegantly furnished - as indeed is the entire hotel. We chose a room... more

Management response from
gwentland, Owner

Not wasting my time responding to this anyone reading it can tell that these two men were very uncouth and very rude to staff and left the room in an appalling state Their credit card declined on several occasions and we asked them to leave, if they could not provide us with another credit card they would have to check...

We have just returned from our second visit to the Lincoln House Hotel staying in the suite on the very top floor of the hotel. Both ourselves and our guests are very impressed with the beautiful, furnishings and excellent finish in all areas of the suite. The suite has everything, beautiful fitted kitchen, comfortable and luxurious lounge and dining area... more

We booked 2 rooms at the Lincoln House for our trip to Wales in April. Loved the location (proximity to the park and city center) and the rooms (clean and roomy). The staff treated us like family, and provided excellent sightseeing suggestions for both the sunny and rainy days that we were there. Upon leaving, they booked us a car... more
