The level of excellence with our stay started from the moment that we entered the hotel. Check-in was extremely helpful with the staff being very efficient as well as demonstrating the facilities of the hotel as well as the main landmarks (leeds United Football Club) of the local area. Breakfast the next morning was superb really enjoyed. more

It is where stay when I went to Leeds in the beginning of this month for my graduation ceremony in the University of Leeds. This hotel is centrally located with a lot of shopping centres nearby where you can do shoppings. It is close to the university too. The business single room, although is small, is very clean and tidy.... more

I stayed here on Business in April and have to say that it was one of the most disappointing stays I have had. The car park is public, not in itself a problem but entry from the car park is on the third floor which means going to the ground floor to check in. I would have left my bags... more

Stayed in this hotel for two nights and found the experience to be very good. Hotel is well located - close to bus stop from airport and within easy walking distance for all city centre locations. On arrival the lobby is small and could be modernised but the staff are excellent and i was in room very quickly. The room... more

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. After reading some reviews before going I was pleasantly surprised, rooms were clean and very comfortable. All staff were friendly and helpful. Then came breakfast - on the first morning had to wait about 10 minutes for coffee, then a further five minutes for milk. Had to make your own toast, which would not have... more

Rooms-horrible. In need of complete refurbishment. Maybe they looked good 30 years ago, but certainly not now. No tea/coffee making facilities or mini-bar. There are some other lovely hotels in the centre of Leeds-don't waste your money on this one! Parking-had to pay extra. Hotel does not have own carpark, so any saving made on the room was swallowed up... more

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Merrion Hotel. It was bigger than we expected and well furnished. Our room was large and airy, loads of storage space and with a full size bath - unusual for this price hotel. The breakfast was very good too and staff were friendly and efficient. We were worried about noise from... more

After reading some of the reviews about this hotel was not too optimistic about the hotel however I was greatly surprised with the experience and welcome from the hotel. I travel a lot on business and therefore see a lot of hotels usually for a long stay so I think I know a dodgy hotel from a good one. This... more

I stayed at this hotel in November 2007 for 5 nights, the hotel was booked through work and after reading a few reviews on trip advisor before going I was in two minds as to what to think. On arrival after 9pm I was quite annoyed to discover that there was no parking which was awkward and later turned out... more

This hotel was DREADFUL, do not stay in room 202, the key did not work, the curtains were hanging off, it was cold and noisy. The room was clean apart from behind the odd pull down bed which had about a foot of dust and filth behind it! We had no "door hangers" so could not put a do not... more
