My wife and I booked 2 nights here for a short break on arrival we received a very friendly welcome. We were shown to a very clean room and every thing was explained to us breakfast times, meals etc. Nick mine host and his staff are very friendly and most helpfull. Breakfast and main meals are out of this world... more
Our stay started with the friendly staff who actually took us to our room instead the usual pointing the way and leaving you to it. We stayed in the Bronte Suite which was excellent. Spotlessly clean, stylish and comfortable. The food in the bar in the evening was great. Breakfast was huge and very very good with lots of choice.... more
We were only there for one night but it was most pleasant. Had a lunch, evening meal, breakfast, some beer and some more beer. The service from the Bar, the Kitchen and from Nick the host was first class. The room had a comfortable king bed, a very nice bathroom and it faced the front so had a view of... more
Stayed at the Fleece Inn on the 7th June 2008. I really would recommend the Fleece Inn if you are planning on staying in Haworth, it really is a friendly and well maintained place to stay. It is ideally situated on the main street and if you get a room on the front then you really get an amazing view.... more
We stayed at the fleece for 2 nights, check in was good, they were expecting us and greeted us as soon as we walked through the door. The contact from the staff was second to none. We stayed at the Fleece the forties weekend (fourth time for us). Nick is a great host and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Friendly, welcoming and a great Yorkshire breakfast (great sausages). The place is spotless, it's an old building but the cleaning staff keep it like a new pin and are obviously proud of the place.... more
We have just returned from a two night break at this hotel. It is the perfect location for exploring the lovely village of Haworth. It is a pub so if you want to have an early night you would not be able to sleep much until after closing but the atmosphere in there was so good i don't think you... more
I wasn't quite prepared for the walk from the train station up to the hotel (it's really steep with bags!) but up a cobbled street, it's very nice and characterful. It was worth the hike up the slope as the pub itself is very warm, inviting, nicely decorated, clean and modern yet traditional. All the food I saw looked great,... more
I must admit the evaluation of my experience at this hotel was downgraded drastically when I found myself itching my legs overnight and waking up to find about 20 large bug bites on my legs in the morning! The friend that I was traveling with was astonished and took pictures of the bites. When we checked out we reported the... more
Dear Customer, many thanks for your feedback. Having PERSONALLY investigated your claims, I have found them not to be true! We are very proud of the high standards of cleanliness and maintenance at The Fleece (please refer to all of our previous reviews), we have also recently undergone a full refurbishment programme whhich included carpets, bedding, soft furnisings and upholstery....
