Shocking, worst hotel in coventry, shabby old rooms, disgusting food, weird staff and management and surely not worth staying in!! Didn't find the most basic things to make a hotel stay tollerable, but mostly annoyed and dumbfounded with the inadequacy of staff including management who made things worse for us. How on earth can a manager drink and serve at... more

I would like to thank the chace hotel for a brilliant stay last month! although rated quite low, this hotel is the best ive stayed in, in the coventry area. The staff were attentive and really went out of their way to find me a sutiable meals for my gluten free diet. We were also given a newly refurbished room,... more

Stayed one night on business. as previous report says, a very good exterior hides poor accomodation. I had a single room which was cold and the bedside light didnt work. I would say the standard was below a Travelodge. Didnt eat in evening but others said meal was okay. The staff were mainly foreign & seemed to know nothing about... more

My only positive experience of this hotel was being able to find a parking space right opposite the main entrance, which enabled me to make a quick getaway in the morning. At a first glance, it seems a lovely place - all oak beams and comfortable looking chairs as you walk in, but this beauty really is only skin deep.... more

On arrival at the hotel it looked lovely. We were greeted by a lounge area which was all warm and cosy. Checking in was not a problem however we had been allocated a double room instead of the requested triple. However the man at reception soon rearranged the booking. On opening to door to the room we were welcomed by... more

We stayed at the hotel bank holiday weekend in May, we were booked to stay for two nights and left after one night. We were there half board so dinner and breakfast in the price of the room, and we didnt even stay to have breakfast. The room was so dirty we had to take the blanket of the bed... more

I was looking forward to staying at 'The Chace' the rooms looked good on the website and I whilst on business I had passed the property and the exterior 'looked' fine. The foyer appeared grand and inviting... However I was appauled at the room I had been given for £81 a night - little more than a bedroom in some... more

Stayed for a weekend with a coach tour on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. We picked the hotel for its location more than anything else. First impressions were reasonable - Tudor style building, some outdoor tables and grass. Pleasant enough place for some outdoor Summer drinking. Inside was also fair enough - sofas, chairs, bar tables etc. Possible a... more

I stayed at this hotel for the first time in Dec 04 and then again in Feb this year. ON both occassions we were visiting the NEC and found it just perfectly placed. The outside look of the hotel is delightful, and whilst the inside furniture may look slightly older, i think that's down to the fact it's in keeping... more
