Me and my partner stayed at the hotel on a Friday evening as we planned to dine and drink in the city centre, we found the hotel to be fantastic value for money and although it is going through refurbishment the reception area was very well presented with leather chairs and wonderful decor. The car parking helped as most city... more

I needed to be in Birmingham the next day for business so wanted a bath, supper and an early night. The first room was awful, and the receptionist moved me happily. I ordered room service and the food was mouldy!!!!!! That is enough said. Never go there, the management were rude and unhelpful once I complained. Also the toilet seat... more

We initially booked the Etap hotel for a cheap weekend away in order to see friends, having booked the hotel I then went onto Lastminute.com and noticed the Menzies Strathallan, which was priced at £8 more that the Etap. Having stayed at an Etap abroad previously, I was not overly excitted about staying so decided to take the plunge. The... more

The first room I was given was tiny, wedge shaped . It was hot and I could not open the windows as I was surrounded metal ducts/chimneys. the room has a stale smell which aggravated my asthma. Could be a health hazard for the more vuneralbe guests. Fortunately I was given a nicer room as I could not have spent... more

I had booked for 2 nights here but after the first night we booked out we had a twin room, upon entering the room it was like entering a cheese wedge, it was triangular and the furthest bed was touching both walls at the head and foot of the bed, you had to climb over the bed to get to... more

I stayed at menzies in birmingham in April and it was all very nice. All of the staff were really helpful and they made sure my stay was comfortable. I had a good sized room, no problems with noise either. I was especially impressed with the restaurant staff. All had smiles on faces and i was looked after very well.... more

How do you describe The Menzies Strathallan…If you were kind then unique in conception...the muti storey car park occupies the lower floors on a round building...the upper floors are the bedrooms with some facing inwards towards the other rooms on the inner circle and the more expensive rooms on the outside looking across the Hagley Road...neither are prestigious sights but... more

The room was incredibly small. At times I had to move furniture to be able to move from point A to point B. The heater was on, and I really mean on. The temperature in the room must've been around 35 degrees Celsius and it was impossible for me to turn the heat down. I left a note asking the... more

I booked this last minute through the hotel after having to travel for business, although I probably could have found a cheaper rate on line I was happy with the price I paid. The hotel is currently undergoing a massive refurbishment which was a little off putting at first, however the only way that this affected me was not being... more

Booked directly through the hotel, staff were helpful and was very pleased with the ease of telephone conversation. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by pleasent staff who promptly checked us in. The room was adequate enough for a 3 day stay, clean and well equipte. We were suprised to see a refurbishment happening within the bar area,... more
