We stayed here as we were attending a podcamp conference partly hosted at the hotel. A bit tricky to find given Birmingham's road system. (its just behind the white stone central fire station, but the entrance is through the university campus road ). We got a special rate via the event booking, would be twice the price normally. Good sized rooms, but could do with air-con! Not enough lifts and no carparks nearby...when you're a business traveller with a week's worth of luggage, plus briefcase and laptop, it becomes a bit of a trek! However, restaurant was lovely and staff were friendly. Overall, good value for money and great location. more

Found this via laterooms at £60 per room B&B. Just completed new block of 80 rooms-which are reasonable size, have flat screen TV, large wardrobe space, safe (no charge) plenty of power points, hairdryer, tea/coffee, towels/toiletries etc., Very modern & comfortable.
