Been staying here years, and during this time I have seen a number of other hotels emerge (Malmaison, Hotel Du Vin, Radisson) all competeting for the same market. I came here when I was younger because of its proximity to Broad Street, and nightlife. I stay here now, because it is one of the few hotels in the centre of... more

I enjoyed my stay here. I had the week before stayed in the Hilton in Manchester and I found the Hyatt a more enjoyable experience. The room was plusher and the bed felt more comfortable - slippers and bathrobes as standard. I suppose it is the little things that make all the difference with a top ranking hotel: one night... more

My partner and I stayed here last weekend to celebrate my 30th birthday. The hotel building is very impressive, the last time we came to Birmingham we decided we would like to stay here if we ever came back. The lobby was very smart , although we were kept waiting for a time to check in, the staff were very... more

The reception area is pretty opulent when you walk in as is a lovely open space. The corridor to our room looked a little dated and in need of a refurb however the room was lovely and large with a massive bed. Bathroom was nice too but the best thing was the view - floor to ceiling windows across the... more

I pulled up in my car outside the main door to be met my a friendly bellboy, he helped me with my case and bags, i asked where i could park the car and he pointed in the direction of a multi story car park, he said he would look after my children and luggage, i asked if i could... more

Had a lovely time at the Hyatt. The check-in staff could have been friendlier but they were not rude... The hotel was an easy enough 15 minute walk from New Street Station as long as you come out the right exit onto New Street. Then it's pretty much a straight walk. The rooms were really nice- clean and spacious. We... more

We arrived at the hotels revolving doors, my arm almost severed with the sheer weight of my overnight bag. The bellboy slouched over the outside front desk “… Just go through to reception…”. Wow what a breathtaking lobby. Marble floors, dark wood and beautifully elegant furnishings, all illuminated with natural light projected in from the glass roof in the centre... more

I have stayed in several Hyatt hotels. Birmingham may not compare with Singapore or Bali (not the city's fault!) but the hotel is typically Hyatt good value for money. As a non driver it is a bit of a haul to get to the hotel from any of the three main stations. The best route is through the inappropriately named... more

Looking for a nice lunch venue with two elderly parents on a Saturday we picked on the Hyatt after reading the usual reviews and calling the hotel. The experience was excellent - attentive staff, calm and attractive surroundings in the atrium, an interesting menu and delicious food, with full marks for the halibut, salmon and a curried chicken Caesar salad.... more

I needed a hotel with secure parking and asked for confirmation from the hotel that they had parking. I was repeatedly assured that they did and that I just needed to hand my keys to the bellboy on arrival. As the hotel is the most expensive in the city I had no reason to doubt the assurance. Although there were... more
