I stayed in this hotel for one night in September 2008 with my fiancee. Has to be best value hotel I have ever stayed in. There was some refurbishment work going on at the time, which only really affected the lift areas (but not the actual lifts) and the outside of the hotel, so was hardly a problem. However, I... more

Booked via priceline and with priceliness fee it was £50 room only for 2 people. The hotel is being refurbed and it spoils the look, but is not such a large problem, as there was no building works noise etc and all rooms and facilities are still accessible. As my partner is blind we had an 'accessible' room, which was... more

This is the third time I've stayed in this hotel and each time the rooms I've stayed in have always been tidy and comfortable and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel even though its currently being updated. I paid £50 (for 2) and this included breakfast. Loads of choice and def something for everyone - loved it!! You can... more

The room was nice, spacious and modern. Double room was in fact a room with 2 queen-sized beds (which was most welcome).Bathroom very clean. I assume that the room was clean, but due to the dark furnishings and dark-ish carpet and low lightings , I could not tell if the actual carpet was clean. Could do with more lighting, or... more

Stayed here whilst on a Conference in the Conference Centre Next Door. Extremely convenient location in the City Centre. Room was clean and of a good standard. Good professional service from all staff we encountered. Lovely ambience in bar and dining room downstairs, where we enjoyed a fantastic, if rather pricey, Gin and Tonic! more

My wife and I stayed in a junior suite (room 1003) at this hotel on a Saturday and Sunday night in August, 2008. We are recently married and as part of the last stages of the wedding, there are a couple of small ceremonies that take a few minutes that need to be done in the hotel room that the... more

Loved this hotel! Great location, fantastic service and tasteful, modern decoration and very clean. Dinner was a bit bland but to be honest, there are plenty of excellent places nearby. For 50GBP per night it was well worth the money. Will return! more

We booked a bogof rate because i am the the ICH priority club, we booked the "club" room on the 11th floor which gave access to the club lounge. Between 5:30 and 7:30 you can have complimentary bottles of Peroni or Bud, Red or White wine and the usual coffees & fizzy pop as well as 2 pcs with internet.... more

The Crowne Plaza Birmingham is in the middle of an extensive refurbishment, although it is being rebuilt in part. However, from my room in the hotel, the results look very promising. All the materials used in my room were bright and felt of good quality. There were good chairs, drinks maker and a LCD television. My opinion is that the... more

Oh dear oh dear not what one would call a good Crowne Plaza. If you are into very dark brown colours in hallways, dark bedrooms that, even having been redone still look old, then this is the place for you. If you want a bath that lets the water out, or a sink that has the waste pipe connected to... more
