Stayed at the hotel for just one night. Overall impression is of a nice place to stay. However there were a few niggles that took the edge off things. Our room (no 22) was adequate but on the small side. At a hotel of this quality I would expect face cloths to be provided. Dinner was good, but again let... more

Well my husband and I thought we could do with a lovely relaxing break away so picked Seckford Hall. We booked ourselves in for a massage each and were really looking forward to it. We were welcomed with a sort of grunt but let it pass. Had a look around the grounds and saw a couple of dead animals including... more

I had my wedding at this hotel and stayed 2 nights in the Tudor room. My wedding day went without a hitch from start to finish. The food was fabulous, the staff went out of their way to help, were professional, courteous and friendly at all times. The tudor room is really lovely, the bathroom is very spacious but could... more

This is our third visit and nothing has changed, which is very refreshing these days. It is a superb Tudor house with all the olde worlde charm associated with a house of this age. It's a bit like stepping back in time, but would not feel right if it was too modern. It is rather expensive but great for an... more

A friend held their wedding reception at Seckford Hall and we stayed for two nights. Service good, staff friendly and helpful, the hotel is a lovely building and the lounge, bar etc very good. The room decor was a bit dated (though my granny would no doubt love it!) but had everything you'd need. It wasn't cheap (£180 / $360... more

Have stayed here recently in a couple of the top end rooms (the Seckford and the Tudor) and found them to be charming, though quite out-dated in a lot of respects. There was a lot of examples of penny pinching and at 255 per night, we found this a little petty and not in keeping with other aspects of the... more

My husband and I booked our wedding at Seckford for the 1st March 2008. We had the ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception in the Lakeside suite and stayed for our honeymoon night in the Tudor room. What a fantastic day! The wedding was organised by Seckford staff without a hitch and on the day it went brilliantly. The staff... more

This old building is a wonderfully homely hotel where you will be given the best of service. It's a little on the pricey side, and I thought that the room rate was a little high for the quality of the accommodation. However, the room was still immaculate and well-serviced. The catering here is absolutely splendid. The well-trained and friendly staff... more

I have to largely agree with the reviewer from Edinburgh, although I wouldn't give quite such low ratings. I booked a room as a special evening to celebrate my wedding anniversary, en route through East Anglia. The hall looked stunning in the brochure and I felt sure that it would provide an ideal anniversary stay. Unfortunately we were booked into... more

My partner took me to this hotel for my birthday as a suprise and I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We stayed for one night on a Saturday with dinner. The Hotel looks very nice when you approach, its Tudor style gives you a very english feel. The grounds of the hotel were also very lush and green. The service at... more
