A delightful Hotel close to the City Centre. Friendly, helpful staff which is important for a lady travelling alone. Lovely breakfast and a pleasant bar/lounge to relax in. Lovely spacious room which is unusual when booking a single ! would recommend this Hotel and will stay again if I go back to York. more

I am a London/ Wimbledon resident and I travel to York frequently, some-times by train but mostly by car. I have stayed at the Groves on at least twelve occasions this year alone, I expect reasonable levels of comfort and personal service and here I get it. The hotel was quiet and the room, which was in a very nice annex across the road from the main building, was spacious and spotlessly clean. Furniture in good condition and tea/coffee facilites ample.
