After reading the reviews on the internet on the Savoy Hotel, Blackpool, it was with fear and trepidation our group arrived for a stay - Monday - Friday in mid September 2008, but were pleasantly surprised at the warm welcome and the cleanliness of this establishment. (There does seem to be a refurbishment programme in place). Staff at all times... more

On entering The Savoy Hotel, the two receptionists couldn't have been more helpful, we had rooms106/108 for our first night's stay. The rooms were very nice and the house keeper even came to check the room had been serviced correctly. We were informed dinner would be served between 7 and 9 o'clock. We had a wonderfull afternoon in Blackpool and ended... more

We stayed from the 5th to 8th September. On arrival we found that our room was cramped, rather tatty and the outer wall was damp. The second room offered was over the kitchens and there was the constant whirring of extractor fans. The decor was only marginally better than the first room. The third room (328) was also over the... more

Stayed at the Savoy Hotel for a four night break with CoachHoliday.com from monday 25 August 2008.Did request a seaview room and I think that made all the difference. It was an up graded room with a jacuzzi bath. Furniture and decor seemed to have been updated fairly recently. Overall a good hotel room. The breakfast was buffet style, very... more

We wondered on arrival why full pay was taken at check-in, but maybe we should have been warned by this. This place was filthy. Nothing was wiped. The bedding was dirty, the tables in the restaurant & lounge were dirty. The windows were disgusting. Our toilet was dirty. The staff were friendly but just not trained. The decor was very dated.... more

My partner and I stayed here for one night on 18th of August. It was ,well, interesting. At £65 for DBB I wouldn't complain. It's a bit run-down but the staff are nice, particularly the restaurant staff who work very hard and handle the largely elderly clientele with great patience, despite the fact that some of them are crotchety and seem to be confusing the... more

Really enjoyed our stay at the Savoy, room 221 is a good-sized family room with one separate bedroom and a large bathroom. Not much of a view but the interior is well decorated and was very clean. Beds were made and towels changed every day. Breakfast was good, self-service and plenty of choice. We ate at the bar one night... more

My grandchildren and myself along with a friend I cared for have just come back from the Savoy Hotel Blackpool after a 5 day break. I had read some of the reviews and was a bit apprehensive but we had an excellent time. The rooms were roomy, very, very clean with maid service, so clean towels and a general tidy-up... more
