I booked the Hotel Victoria as we wanted to stay in a 3* plus hotel in the centre of Newquay for our wedding anniversary. The room cost £145 for ones nights stay and for that amount of money I was at least expecting a clean and comfortable room. What we got was a tired room with stains on the carpet,... more

We have just come back form a hen weekend in newquay and included in our hen weekend package was a day at the spa. The spa was at the victoria hotel in newquay. I can honestly say that I have never met more accommodating and friendlier people in all my life. They bent over backwards to make sure that our... more

We stayed for 3 nights. Bedroom had tatty furniture and the bath room was like a grey portakabin with chipped worktops. No shower. Never up to 3 star standard. Room was very hot so we left our widow slightly open, when we returned there was a pidgeon in the room. Dinner was included on our first night but food was... more

I stayed in Newquay for the first time over a long weekend in June. I went with 3 girlfriends. To be honest, I feel Hotel Victoria is a bit of a mixed bag. The one major plus about it is the location. It is superbly located in the heart of newquay town near most of the major nightspots and restaurants... more

We had stayed at the Victoria for Valentine's 5 years ago, and decided that it was time to return to Newquay. Upon both occasions, we had accommodation with Sea Views: because we are aware that street facing rooms are subject to noise from the adjoning Nightclub, at weekends. This visit lasted four days on the run up to Easter, and... more

I spent one night at the hotel Victoria (Midweek). The hotel is well past it's best with a dark and tired interior that is a long way off the prices being charged. The rooms have a poorly executed mock victorian look, which i am sure looked ok around 15 years ago, they are now showing their age. There is a... more

This was my first visit to Newquay -- and what a wonderful visit it was! The Victoria Hotel and it's design and furnishings was very pretty. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The food was delicious and presentation was visually pleasing. The atmosphere at the bar was great -- the perfect place to enjoy a pint or two. more
