When we arrived at the Headland Hotel, we thought we'd entered the filmset of The Shining! The hotel itself was lovely and we got upgraded for free as were attending a wedding and wanted to keep the same room for 2 nights. The staff were all very helpful and attentive, the decor was lovely and the view from the room... more

Their website does not do them justice. The hotel is fantastic, all the staff are helpful and offer excellent service and their restaurant is wonderful. Right on the beach you couldn’t ask for a better location. more

My wife, son and I stayed at the Headland for 2 nights. The hotel is in a great location and only a 10 minute walk into Newquay. The views are amazing and we were lucky to have such great weather that weekend. As other rewiews have said, the hotel is a bit dated but I don't think it is trying... more

We stayed in Headland hotel for 2 nights in our week stay in Cornwall, the hotel website really does the look of the hotel justice, The hotel is huge and obviously has character which is nice but it is very tired and dated, the lobby could do with a refurb as I think first impresions count, it was very dark... more

We have come back to the Headland year after year, since we first met as boyfriend and girlfriend, through the early years of our marriage, to becoming parents. The Headland has catered for all of our changes and is always a joy to return to. We have visited at varied times of the year, in busy periods and wet weather... more

A SKINNER LONDON stayed in one of the best rooms, very exspensive for a room with a tv with only 5 channels,a settee & arm chair which needed renewing, & the windows could have done with a clean, the hotel itself was clean if not worn in places, the food was very good, would go back once the y have updated... more

Still on my tour of the UK. The Headland is as it's name implies sits right out on the headland between the two surfing beaches. Terrific views especially of the storm we had during our stay ! The hotel staff were great giving us all the do's and do not's as to where in Newquay we should visit. Believe me... more

a impressive looking hotel on the cliff tops of fistral beach, has the best location in newquay! Rooms are very clean and spacious, well worth getting a sea view. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Resturant was great and gets really busy. Just a short walk into the town, and lots of places to visit/ things to do within a... more

My husband booked the Headland after seeing the rather decieving hotel website. We paid £126 for one night! Which got us an internal room which had been recently decorated to a good standard. Although the room was ubearably hot all night even though cool outside, and all heating turned off. The communal areas of this hotel really need some attention... more

Stayed for a couple of nights ( 26 & 27 April ). The room ( 130 ) was spacious & clean and well equipped. The shower was particularly good - an overhead 'deluge' type in a spacious, walk-in cubicle. Only slight negative was the sound from the room above at 8.00 on Monday morning as the workmen started the refurbishment... more
