My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. First impressions were very impressive. A warm welcome and ornate reception area. However, our bedroom was not as specatcular. Very basic in my view - only one bathrobe; insufficient towels; no tea/coffee making facilities. Air conditioning was very noisy. We paid for the use of the executive club... more

Had my company's conference there and I have to say that it was most regretful. The most important facility did not work i.e. the internet/network connection. The breakfast and tea served were frugal and we had to asked for more food/variety. Never heard from the person who promised to 'WOW' us when she did the initial selling to us. The... more

They checked me in super-early (8am) and upgraded me despite this being my first stay. Am torn about this property because the atmosphere is fairly upscale and old fashioned, which I love, and the service is great, but ... The gigantic room they gave me placed the TV 15 ft away from the bed, and the TV couldn't be seen... more

I'm a SPG member, so I got a room upgrade. The room was very big, but sparsely furnished. The bed's extremely comfy, although all in Starwood family, it's even better than the Heavenly Bed from Westin. Location is fantastic, walking distance to St. Lawrence's Market, subway station, PATH, all kinds of places. Beer Bistro right across the street is marvelous... more

I redeemed SPG points for 2 nights in a one bedroom king suite at this location. I was surprised I could do it because it was last minute and during the Toronto Film Festival. The room location was a little odd, down some weird hallways and up some steps but the room was beautiful. Expert staff, all with great attitudes... more

Of course you don't choose a hotel for the bed - but this is one of the most comfortable beds I have had in a hotel. I really did not want to get out of it in the mornings. We stayed here for three nights and found the service to be first rate. The Consierge was very helpful and pleasant... more

Good location for business and well kept. Bit expensive for what you get. more

Yup, great lobby and public areas, nice bar downstairs. However, only an average (small) guest room in an industry where the competitors are getting better and better all the time and offer more comfort, amenities and value than I encountered on this stay. Ongoing problems with heating system. Lack of in-room coffee-making facility a particular irritation. Pay-for Wi-Fi. Adequate but... more

We stayed here for two nights in April 2008 to watch our beloved red sox get creamed by the blue jays. Here is our report: We were greeted by the door man who arranged to have our car parked, where it was left until we left. Check in went well and our room was very spacious and comfortable. The large... more

It was a very nice place to stay, very luxurious. Stayed two nights. No prices on the menu outside the restaurant so you knew it was very expensive i.e. Sunday brunch $50.00 / person. Location was excellent for us. Would stay there again but not eat there. more
