The hotel was just nicely located in the heart of Ottawa, the indoor connection to the mall was such a convenience. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Great location across from the parliament buildings, stones throw from the ByWard Market and connected to the Rideau Centre. As with many downtown hotels you need to factor in the hefty valet parking fee (only option to park a car) but other than that it is a great location with ample amenities. If nothing else, Westin always provides the same experience, which is a good thing. I arrived very late (almost midnight) and was exhausted. The staff downstairs helped with my luggage, and upgraded me to a better room due to my late arrival. The room was a bit larger than normal, with a fantastic view of Parliament and other Ottawa sights.... more

The location of the Westin Ottawa is Great!!!! We found the room to be clean, decently appointed and large enough for comfort. They call the beds heavenly here and while I wouldn't go that far they are very comfortable. The view of both Parliment and Rideau canal was impressive and the Byward Market area was less then thee blocks away.... more
