Bad surprise: I found bedbugs in my room, or more accurately on my skin after the first night. The room was hot, humid, with a bad smell and I aksed a refound that was accepted by the desk. Result: not a very good souvenir... more

We stayed at the Granville Island Hotel at the end of our trip to British Columbia. The only thing I would recommend about this hotel is the location. It is fabulous. The rooms were only adequate at best. During the trip we stayed at four other places and they were all fabulous. We paid the most at the Granville Island... more
My husband and I pored over hotels to choose one for our honeymoon. We finally settled on a penthouse suite here and absolutely could not have been more pleased. We LOVED this place! ALL of the staff we came into contact with were welcoming, friendly, and went above and beyond to be helpful. They drew us a map to the... more
We loved this hotel and its location. Staying in an executive room with a seating area and a sleeping area, we had the most enjoyable stay. The water view was terrific. Could not fault the staff and would stay there again if we return at any time to Vancouver. more
I've stayed at this hotel twice now; the first visit was a few years ago and the room we got was amazing, with great views of False Creek and the water. The room was so tiny we could hardly fit in it. No carpet on the floor, hardly any outlets and the bathroom was too small. We requested a larger room, since we were a group of three, previously booked and wanting an adequate room. We were told none were available. The room was small and dark and old. In no... more
This was a nice little hotel on Grandville Island. Convenient for shopping on the island. Be srue to plan time to spend there. The market there is nice, cute shops, and good resturants. Central enough that driving to downtown, other touristy areas or the airport wasn't too far. The hotel itself is a bit hard to find on the island.... more
We asked for one night, but after having a fantasticevening and night in a splendid room we wanted to extend our stay with one extra night. This caused a lot of problems.. We had to leave the room, but they would probably find another room for us. This took ages, we had to return to the hotel a few times... more
We last stayed here 4 years ago and really loved the location. It's near enough to the city yet has a different feel - probably because the Island is a working place, not just a tourist trap. The market itself is so interesting and the food is wonderful. It's also great to see the students at the Emily Carr Institute.... more
Perhaps people in Canada just go to bed very early, I don't know, but you would think a hotel that caters almost exclusively for holiday makers would have come across people who liked to have a drink after a day's sightseeing. I was part of a group of fifteen, all staying a minimum of five nights in this hotel -... more
