The best advise I can give anyone staying here is to go with an open mind. It is not as glamorous as some of the hotels you will pass in the hotel zone, but to all those who slated this place seem to have forgotten it is a fraction of the price. If you are planning on having a holiday... more

staff were nice. around the corner were great little shops for lunch or breakfast. one had yummy toasted croissant sandwiches, another great shrimp tacos, and another for cheap cheap breakfasts. which is good cause the kitchenette didn't really work for us. i brought our own egg flipper, read another review that said not much in utensils, but never used it.... more

We had planned to stay at the Imperial Laguna for one day at the start of our vacation and one day at the end of our vacation. Our first stay was great. We got there in the afternoon and check in was a breeze. Service was great and our two rooms were in good shape. We had no complaints, especially... more

My family traveled to cancun for spring break last year and had planned to stay at the riu palace until we found cheaper airlines to leave a day early. Unfortunately the riu was booked and after seeing the pics of the hotel, we decided to stay there. We arrived in cancuun in the late afternoon and we got a taxi... more

We stayed at Imperial Laguna for one night before moving onto the Cancun Palace - we came in around midnight that night and didn't want to waste the all-inclusive for that day. I was actually very scared to go there after reading reviews (after we booked the hotel). I had read that it was in a crack den - I... more

This is a budget hotel but very clean and comfortable and with a brilliant location. Its within walking distance of all the bars, restaurants and clubs which is more than can be said of some of the other hotels in the hotel zone. (its all just across the lagoon so a 15 minute walk gets you there). The decoration isn't... more

We read reviews AFTER booking our stay and we were rather apprehensive to say the least. What we found was no where near as scary as what was written. "Ghetto"? The single family homes were 3 story, they had open garages so we saw vehicles - Mercedes, BMWs, Jeeps and SUVs. They had pleasure boats on the lagoon side. Across... more

We stayed here as a family of six with children between the ages of 9 and 15. This is not a family friendly hotel. We were kept awake all night long by loud ,screaming ,drunk college students. We complained to the front desk numerous times, usually at 4:30 am when we'd been woken up for the third time, and they... more

I've been to Cancun 6 times. 3 as a Spring Breaker and twice in the last year with my wife. The time that I stayed here, in Feb of '06 was hands down, the worst. The only reason we stayed here is because we actually were going to take a trip to Playa del Carmen and just needed a place... more
