Upon arriving to the hotel De La Borda front dest to check in the price of the room was a little higher than what I was quoted online so I explain to the desk clerk that the rate was a little lower in my email to them earlier mention and they gave me my rate so it worked good at... more

We stayed at the hotel for 2 days. That was a real adventure. When we got there, we were shown the room where the water tank in the bathroom was literally broken in two, with all the water from it in the garbage basket. I still wonder how they can even offer something like that. Of course we asked for... more

I stayed at this hotel for a weekend in July. On a positive note; the location of the hotel is fantastic, great views, lovely terraces to sit & relax, near to the town etc... Also, the staff at the hotel were very friendly & helpful. We got a good deal that included breakfast so it wasn't expensive & the food... more

De La Borda was probably stunning in its day, but its day has come and gone! Actually, it was a beautiful location, a lovely pool, the restaurant/cabanna was very fun and lovely. The rooms, well, they were pretty bare, but adequate. There were no screens on the windows, and no air conditioning, so the heat was definitely an issue. Also,... more

We stayed two nights in august 07 and have been extremely disappointed by the unacceptable low quality of this old , not maintained hotel . How can it have 4 stars ?. It is clear that we have been completely cheated by its false web site. Furnitures , doors, windows, were in a poor state, washbasin was blocked up, bathroom... more

We had to be moved to another room due to the fact that the bathtub and the shower were broken. I actually asked to the desk clerk if the room had been used before and he said yes, but how they bathed only God knew. The bathroom looked as if nobody had been there in years. The tiles looked so... more

Large, clean rooms with a nice view but really faded, especially the bathroom. Friendly staff and the food at the restaurant was ok. Nice swimmingpool. Prices are expensive in comparison with other hotels in Mexico: 1200 pesos per night for a double room, though we got a 20% reduction on that price. The four stars that the hotel gives itself,... more

We foolishly trusted the Moon guide's assertion that this aging gem had been restored to it's former glory. In fact, I doubt if it has been painted in 20 years. It is sitiuated on a lovely site just outside of Taxco, with a view of the Cathedral. However, the furniture is ancient. We awoke to find no hot water. When... more

I have stayed at De La Borda twice, and will be staying there the next time I go to Taxco. It is very affordable, you can negotiate a better price. I have dinner and breakfast in the morning, never been disappointed, good meal, good price. Very convenient to shopping district. The staff is very accomodating, many speak some English. Definitely... more

I visited this hotel on a group trip some years ago. The hotel itself is not extraordinary, but I will say that it is in the best location possible. It is practicaly on the top of a mountain (or cliffside). The most amazing, romantic views can be seen of Taxco and they have a beautiful, large terrace that faces a... more
