Posada Santa Fe is a an OK place to stay one night or two. If you have problems with your knees and out of shape, avoid it. If you are a student in a budget and do not mind hard beds, stiff pilows and a very small bedroom or bathroom, then is OK.. The hotel has a restaurant, ( non... more
Even though the staff of this hotel were very nice, I would not recommend it. The rooms were very noisy and HOT! The tile in the bathroom was in very bad need of repair, and the shower was moldy. I would recommend the restaurant at this hotel. Everything we ate was very good. Helen from Texas more
This is my second review of this hotel as we stayed there in December and also again for 3 nights from Feb 8th thru Feb 11th and as last time, I loved our stay. My parents live in Ireland and were over in the US for a vacation so we took them to Guanajuato and they loved the city and... more
I would recommend this to any one who wants an experience not just a simple hotel stay. The front desk was very helpful checking us in and telling us all about the tours of the city. (no pressure) The room was charming and comfortable with two single beds, a dresser, a closet, and a bathroom with a shower only. We... more
We spent four night nights at Posada Santa Fe, from the 19th to the 23rd of December 2007, and it was just great. You're right in the middle of it all: restaurants, museums, churches, and shops. Also, being able to walk out of the hotel onto the Plaza Unión is a great plus. This little Plaza is alive all the... more
We stayed here for four days in mid-November '07 and wished we had booked longer. The staff couldn't have been more accomodating or friendly. The food was excellent and we loved the concerts in the jardin bandstand. We will certainly stay here again, and recommendit the hotel wholeheartedly to visitors to Guanajuato. more
While the lobby of the B&B looks high-scale and the service is outstanding, it is located right on the central plaza. We thought this was very appealing but it is extremely noisy with all of the people and musicians. We also requested a smoke free room and our room was nowhere near smoke free. It also did not appear as... more
I absolutely agree with Lynita from Denver's Feb 23 review. The hotel management needs to address the sewer gas being emitted from floor drains in the bathroom, as well as the lack of friendliness and service by wait staff and desk clerks. As Lynita stated, the young woman on the desk was efficient and friendly, but the gentleman we encountered... more
People choose this hotel for its location, right on the central plaza or jardin, and it does have an attractive colonial setting. The terrible sewer gas smell in the bathroom may have been attributable to some construction that was going on, but the sour expressions on the faces of the staff were even more unpleasant than the gas smell. The... more
