I recently stayed in the Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay in Mazatlan, MX. and it was just wonderful. The hotel ambiance is just absolutely fabulous. It has great food, outstanding activities for the young and old(chess, wine and cheese tasting, cooking lessons, water-polo, beach volleyball, trivia, etc.) The service was also excellent and with the kindest people working there in order... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay (PBEB) from 5/18/08-5/23/08. It was our first visit to Mazatlan, but not the first to Mexico. Overall, PBEB exceeded our expectations. Parts of the resort are still under construction (and there are big plans for expansion), but our stay was not impacted. We booked our room online following correspondence with... more

We booked transportation from the PBEB website. It was inexpensive, $19US pp for both ways. There was a wait to round up all the people, but we were lucky that PBEB was the first drop off. They service PBEB, El Cid Marina, PB Maz and the Inn at Maz. Coming back, our bus broke a fan belt- we had to... more

In all fairness, we were coming from a stay in a wonderful B&B in the historical district and the PBEB was an RCI exchange. We did not expect a customized vacation, artsy shopping or friendly chats over wine with the owners. We expected a great beach, beautiful grounds, a unit with a sunset view, and an easy week--and we got... more

We just arrived from a 2 week vacation in Mexico, one week at Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay June 9-14, 2008 and one week at the Grand Mayan (Nuevo Vallarta) June 14-21, 2008. Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay, in my opinion, was fantastic. Beautifully manicured lawns and shrubbery, flowering plants and trees everywhere, beautiful fountains and ponds filled with everything from swans,... more

About Us: We are a LA couple in our early 30s seeking a relaxing vacation with some ethnic flavor. While hip hotels and b&bs are more my style, my boyfriend's family gave us one of their RCI weeks - who can argue with an almost free hotel? We stayed at PB Emerald Bay for seven days in June. Since I'm... more

I stayed at Emerald Bay back in early September of 2007 and it was quite simply a terrific resort in nearly every way. The stay was a time-share trade through RCI. There was virtually no sales pitches made and felt no pressure whatsoever. The staff at the hotel was extraordinarily helpful and accomodating, the resort itself is gorgeous and the... more

Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay is the best resort we have stayed in. It is absolutely beautiful! The service is great and the rooms are spacious and beautiful. We were so impressed with the resort that we want to go back soon. Emerald Bay is not in the hotel zone and is a bit of a drive from town. It is... more

We stayed the week of 5/17 to 5/24. The grounds are amazing, and beatifully kept. The staff is amazingly nice. Jorge waited on us one night at Kelly's bar, and then we saw him the next day, and he just stopped to talk. Here in Seattle, servers would lead you to believe that you are lucky to have them wait... more

The property is immaculately kept. Overall we had a great stay. They rooms are very well appointed and large, but there is a lingering smell of mildew and mold, (maybe time to replace some of the old stained, foam furniture. This smell permiated at times and was not confined alone to the rooms but also the chairs at the restaurant.)... more
