The setting was very nice at Mt. Victory - peaceful, quiet, and nice view. But we had a cockroach issue that tainted the trip. We saw a cockroach run across one of the beds, and ended up with one in a suitcase. more

This is the place for people who want to be intimately close to nature, who want to learn what Caribbean every-day-reality is like (Mathilde & Bruce know alot about that!), who want to walk or biuke or move areound in other ways on their own. We read about the eco-lodge Mt. Victory Camp in Outside magazine, which gave it a glowing review. This eco-lodge is a fantastic place for folks to stay who don't mind a few anoles (small lizards) crawling around in the screened units, which are very comfortably equipped--complete with running water and a small kitchen area.
