We just returned from staying 10 days at Mt. Irvine Bay Hotel, and we enjoyed the food, the service and the accomodations. All of the employees were happy to assist us and engage in conversation. The food at the restaurant was just fine, particularly the coffee, shish kebob, chicken, and grilled fish. As in all the Tobago hotels I've seen,... more

A lovely and wasted resort with vast potential. It is a shame to see a property in such a beautiful location be allowed remain run down as it is. The pictures shown here are certainly outdated and maintenance will definitely be needed for those pictures to become more accurate! Remember the saying, "seeing is believing!" The restaurant is in a... more

I stayed at this hotel shortly before New Years '08. I was amazed to see just how beautiful this hotel is. Pictures cannot do it justice. The beach is in walking distance, and provided a gorgeous backdrop for wonderful photos. The rooms are very spacious, and the bathrooms are huge in size. However there are no activities at this hotel.... more

A breath of fresh air, after spending a few terrible days at Grafton Beach Resort. The staff at Mt. Irvine are well trained and so pleasant, they really make your stay enjoyable. They also make you feel like its a pleasure for them to make your stay enjoyable, they really seem to enjoy working there. Even the handyman who was... more

I stayed at Mt. Irvine shortly after Carnival when my Travelocity reservation for another Tobago hotel was overbooked. Every place was booked, but the taxi driver, taking me to various hotels, said "this one always has rooms". No wonder, it's ridiculously expensive! $236/night walk in rate. My room did not have hot water - I called maintenance and they came... more

Mt Irvine is like something out of the 70's and hasn't been touched since. The rooms are basic and clean. We had a few problems in the Sugar Mill restaurant with the breakfast buffet. On our first morning, all the food was laid out, eg the fruit, cereal, yoghurts etc. On the second morning, we had to have it bought... more

Visited October 2003. Surly, unwelcoming staff who were not forthcoming in any information. Nice rooms and pool but a five minute walk downhill to a tiny, busy, dirty cove- not good value at all! Michele and Neil. more

Beautiful hotel next to the beach with and excellent golf course with rolling hills. Kind and friendly people, just do not go in with attitude. Remember you are a guest in their country :-). I even got married at the gazebo by the golf course. They would provide you with anything you need within reason. Lovely place to stay for... more
