ok,so my 1st problem was the fact that they had wireless internet, but only in the 'lobby' which was OUTSIDE,not indoors,so ofcourse you feel unsafe hanging out in an outside lobby late night just to be on your laptop. 2nd off,its VERY loud downtown.we were awaken with all the noise at 9am after only 3-4 hrs of sleep. the pool is... more

I booked my hotel stay for 2 nights, but after 5 minutes in the lobby, I realized I could not stay there for more than 1 night. First of all, the pictures on Expedia look as they were enhanced, so please don't be fooled. The hotel is dirty, rooms and pool are tiny and the "complimentary breakfast" is awful. Also, the location is... more

The room was clean and quiet. All the rooms open onto an open air hall. There is a fun glass elevator. The pool looked nice, tho we didn't have time for a swim. The staff was very helpful and gave us good directions to find things. There is a great bakery across the street for breakfast and a real taste... more

Very good place to stay in Mayaguez: nice location, friendly staff, clean decent room, and very clean bathroom. Good complimentary breakfast in bakery across the street, and parking is only a few steps from the main entrance. Swiming pool is small, but nice. Hotel has a vending room wth sodas, snacks, coin-laundry and ice machine (free). The hotel looks renovated... more

Hotel rooms were cozy and clean. We loved the breakfast coupons for the bakery across the street, took many trips there during the day. The only negative was that the area was too loud at night with car radios blaring, motorcycles and a dance club a few doors down. It was just awful. We bought ear plugs but they didnt... more

If you stay here, make sure you bring ear plugs. The hotel is in the middle of the city, right next to Plaza de Colon and the Cathedral, and the noise at night time can be very loud. T Two problems: 1. Before making my reservation on the web, I called several times and the phone rang over 25 times... more

I just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel and it definitely exceeded my expectations, particularly given the low rates. The staff of the hotel were very friendly and helpful (and all spoke English). Mayaquez is a beautfiul little town and this hotel is right in the city center making it easy to walk to shopping and restaurants.... more

If you want a base to explore the western side of PR, Mayaguez is as central as it gets. The HoJos is what you would expect: clean, functional, well run. Mayaguez isn't the garden spot of Puerto Rico, but the Plaza is nice, and the hotel has character. There's plenty to eat, and all the shops and services you need... more

The rooms were not large but still very clean and comfortable. We paid $85 a night. The television was resting on the desk in front of the bed so there is not a lot of space to put items you would normally leave on a desk at your hotel. The furniture is cedarwood (I think) and creates a nice smell.... more
