Orlen and Charles who own the resort make it worth the trip. I have stayed here for the past 10 years (SWF) and brought at least 50 people down to visit with me. Laid back, easy, cheap and as good as it gets in Jamaica. Don't be lulled in by the fancy resorts - this is the real thing and... more

I found this property on a fluke.. while doing a search for a hotel that was inexpensive yet secure. The Salem resort is a small, cozy facility staffed by caring folks that try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. It's across the street from the beach with small shops, restaurants and supermarkets nearby. I could see using this... more
