I stayed at the Excellence Punta Cana for 5 nights of nothing but luxury and decadence. The grounds are not only lovely but spotless. This was our 8th visit. The resort continues to improve facilities and service. One of the few adutl-only resorts in Punta Cana. Extremely friendly staff. Recommend booking an Excellence Club accommodation, since it provides special room amenities and access to the Excellence Club lounge with complimentarty food, beverages and PC's. This was our first trip to the Dominican Republic and to an Excellence resort and I think we definitely chose wisely! As others have written, the drive from the airport is horrible but you do get to see some of the countryside and realize what it is like outside of the resort.
