Big Meadows is one of the most beautiful places I have ever camped in my life. I have also stayed at the lodge which I think is incredible but I like camping better. The lodge is rustic and very much set in its natural surroundings. The review below gave a 1 which I don't believe is fair. I am 43... more

Sometimes, National Park Campgrounds get a bad reputation for being crowded and dirty. That is certainly not the case for Big Meadow. It has been around for years and continues to be maintained in a lovely manner cooperating with all of nature. We stayed in September and there were no crowds, incredible weather and wildlife galore.
