“comfy rooms, nice food, nice people”

I have stayed here before, when it was the De Vere Arms, but this nice little mini-hotel is as good as it was then. My room (number 1) has a very comfy double bed with a high quality mattress and good sheets. Well decorated, nice pictures, a flat screen TV and a dvd player, and a very large en suite... more

Stayed there for our honeymoon, in the so called honeymoon suite. The room was baking hot and on the main road through Earls Colne, with the windows open it was extremely noisy throughout the night The room decor was tacky and would be better in neutral colours rather than it being themed, in whatever theme it was meant to be... more

We understand that our uniquely decorated bedrooms aren't always to everyone's taste, however this is the first complaint we have had about one of our luxury rooms. We have a service policy, whereby if a guest is unhappy with their allocated bedroom, we endeavour, where possible, to offer an alternative, however the guests who wrote this review did not express...
