My wife and I stayed three nights beteen santiago and Santander. although rated as 3* it was excellent value. Nice room, no air conditioning, view over valley marred by motorway. Helpful staff and adequate brakfast and dinner. Easy walk into very intersting old town with excellent tourist information. Lovely town sqaure with tapas bars and many old churches. We enjoyed the night at the parador, beds were really comfortable and the room was spacious. the private parking secured our car. The village is really small and there's not much to do except to go to the wine cellar palacio de Arganza. teh wine is delicious and so cheap, a bottle of 1997 costs around 5 €! we bought... more
