1. Silk Road Café, Chester Beatty Library, Dublin Castle, Dublin
Sumptuous Middle Eastern dishes are as much of an attraction here as the amazing art upstairs.
2. The Stag's Head, Dublin
Christmas week in this traditional pub is the place to catch up with everyone home, from all over the world, for Christmas. Friday and Saturday nights it packs former Bohemians and former students and everyone in between into its tiny spaces.
3. Whelan's, Dublin
Catch a band play live in this intimate 350-person venue.
Go for a lazy weekend away with friends - stay in a cottage by the lakeshore or rent a cruiser and stay on board.
Catch up with friends and family during the country's top Arts Festival.
Take the DART out to Dalkey and sit outside the Queen's for drinks, coffees and pizza as the sun goes down.
Brunch on one of Odessa's three floors. Great coffee, good music and the perfect Huevos Rancheros.
8. Temple Bar Food Market, Dublin
Stroll through Meeting House Square, sampling hot apple cider and spicy Spanish tortilla on a Saturday morning.

Go back to the 1800s at the Dead Zoo. Nothing has changed at this aged museum in decades.
11. The Six Nations, Dublin
Spill through the streets with the boisterous crowd after ireland play Scotland or England at rugby. Catch up with the thousands of other sports (and social) enthusiasts as they celebrate the day's triumphs along Baggot Street.
Wander down to the pond and look for turtles.
