Took the Restaurant Walking Tour - Fine Dining today and it was well worth the time (about 3 hours) and money. Start at the cooking school with an appetizers then wander around Santa Fe to four different top restaurants for a back scene tour, meet with key people and enjoy a culinary treat at each stop paired with a matched... more

We had 24 people in our class, the most that would fit in the small classroom. The chef, who has been with them 13 years, did not seem to like the recipes he had to use and modified them. This is just a demonstration, no hands on cooking. I love to cook, and I did learn a couple of new... more

This is our second time taking a class at the Santa Fe School of Cooking. Two years ago, we took their "chile amor" class. This was a hands-on class led by Rocky Durham. We thoroughly enjoyed Rocky's class. The class we attended last week was led by Daniel Hoyer. We hadn't heard of him before, but he has impressive credentials... more

I love southwestern food, and as I am French, I was curious of the recipes, therefore I tested a cooking class with my friends. Great experience, near the Plaza, during 3 hours, with a very nice chef, who demonstrated several traditional recipes, and explained everything for us. On the end, we were delighted as we could eat too! Santa Fe... more

Eddie Lyons was very fun & upbeat. Recipes we had were altered so that we had to make changes as we went along. The recipe turned out great, after all he is a CHEF. I would go back if in that area. Check all the differnet schools they have. more

This was a great adventure to me - delightful to watch the demonstration and yummy to eat the food and super nice people taking the classes. I learned how to make stuffed lamb rellanos in the native class one day and the next day how to make carne adovado and of course sopapillas as well as other things. The chefs... more

I enjoyed a delightful morning watching a demonstration of the preparation of a complete New Mexican meal. The chef and assistant prepared two types of enchiladas, green rice, beans and a lime tart during the two hour class. Enough was prepared so that all of the watchers were able to taste the entire meal, as the prep was completed at... more

This is one of my all time favorite things to do in Santa Fe. If you go, take a class taught by chef Rocky. Hes a santa fe native, and practically a celebrity chef. Best recipies are goat cheese enchiladas, green chile stew and the SW BBQ class! Don't miss all the great stuff at the store, including the pinon... more

My daughter and I participated in a Mexican Light cooking class. The recipes were very tasty. We especially liked the Mexican slaw recipe. The chef was very entertaining. It was a great way to spend a few hours! Don't miss the shop. more

I attended the cooking class called "Mexican Light." Our chef instructor was very knowledgeable, gave good tips, and included some variations on how we could make the recipes at home. All of the recipes were very tasty and the class of 20 (from all over the US) enjoyed our sizeable lunches. The atmosphere was professional but relaxed. If you enjoy... more
