I was just at the High Museum on June 14th. While the outside structure of the buildings is super cool, the inside layout makes it very difficult to manuver around the museum. If you have never been here, the modern design of the buildings are nice to see. But for those of us who have been here several times or have been to other art museums in large cities, it's somewhat disappointing as a museum. Do not miss the Louvre Atlanta exhibit and take the time to walk through the rest of this lovely museum. I visited the museum on April 19, 2006. I had a great time. You really have to appreciate this kind of art to enjoy the High. I really enjoyed the sculptures and the art depicting African-American people. There are a total of 3 buildings, but the entire museum can be done in a few hours. more

Now the High is a true destination in its own. Amazing redesign. Once the new Symphony shapes up next door, Atlanta will have a serious combo punch for visitors. more

I live in Atlanta and have been to the High many times, and I must say that it's a waste of time unless there is a special exhibit that you are particularly interested in. more
