As everyone else is saying, the Top of the Rock is the way to go! Great views, not crowded at all, clean, courteous staff, several levels to explore, even a video to see. I strongly recommend this, however I also would recommend coming at night or getting the all-day pass for ten bucks more to come back at night.....I felt... more
I can recommend a visit. Great views, a well cleaned and fresh location, great staff (with a lot of humour) and great location in central NYC. more
We visited both Top of the Rock and Empire State Building. We visited Top of the Rock in the evening, and had a fantastic view of NYC. Stunning view of the Empire State building. The wait was short (9pm), and there are many places both inside and outside to view the city. This was one of the highlights of our... more
We walked right in and went to a great view of all of Manhattan, over Central Park and adjacent to Empire State building. No line, nice people and great fun! You can choose to watch a movie of the Rockettes, the top of the rock if you'd like before you go up, but we just went right up. Don't miss... more
Not sure what to expect, but after reading tripadvisor we decided to choose top of the rock over empire state building. Rock center was great. very happy we did it and brought the kids. It has a short multimedia history as you start the tour and its very informative as to how it came about and the whole radio city... more

We were very happy with this decision. There were no queues and so we just wandered up to the top very relaxed. The view was breathtaking - a... more

You have a choice of paying $20 for the standard (one-time) visit or $30 for an all-day ticket, which allows you to return... more
Im not usually into views (scared of heights) but we decided to check it out as we were walking past, I didnt regret it! Spent a lot of time, taking a lot of photos, couldnt believe how big central park really is! more
After reading reviews and debating, we decided to go to Top of the Rock rather than the Empire state building, We made this decision because Top of the Rock is less crowded than The ESB and you get a view of the Empire state building that is unbeatable. We chose not to pay the extra and purchase an Express pass,... more
