I've been a subscriber and enthusiastic contributor to ABT for 20 years. It has been one of the most dependable, elegant, moving experiences imaginable. But last night's Swan Lake a butchered remnant of the original with (I hate to say it)...... lackluster performances. I saw American Ballet Theatre ( ABT ) perform in New York City on Memorial Day weekend 2007 and was thoroughly amazed. Make sure you clear time in your schedule to see them - especially if Herman Cornejo is dancing. He is worth the price of admission alone! He his beaming with stage presence, energy, and ability!
