I'm posting this review because I was skeptical about taking this trip because it is ranked fairly low on this board of things to do in Boston and also because of a few of the negative reviews regarding people becoming sick on the trip. This 4 hour tour really was amazing. I would highly recommend to anyone who is thinking... more

I've read the reviews before we purchased our tickets. I've found that everyone has pretty much the same advice, which I agree with now. Follow the advice before you go on board in terms of things to bring and possible sea sickness. Keep in mind, everyone will have different experiences! Ours was amazing! We went with our 6-year old son... more

I had a wonderful time on the Aquarium Whale Watch in July, and would highly recommend it. However, two caveats to anyone thinking of buying a ticket, based on my own observations on board. 1. The Whale Watch goes out on a catamaran, not a large boat. Do not expect a smooth, stable ride, a la a cruise ship. It's... more

Our family took this whale watching trip last week and had a great time. The ship was clean, the ride pretty smooth, and the naturalist was informative. The day we went was very foggy (it was supposed to lift, but didn't), so we were concerned we wouldn't see much. But a group of 3 whales came right by our boat... more

The Short Story, pay attention to the off shore weather. The tip should have been when they were hosing the boat off, it wasn't to rinse off the salt water, it was to clean the vomit off the boat. My wife and I, athletic and in our 30's, with our 3-1/2 year old, went on for "family fun". What we... more

I started the tour on the middle deck, which is the lower of the two outside seating areas. We could not hear what the tour guide was saying because it everyone was very loud. Apparently, we misses him saying that the waves were pretty choppy this particular day. It would not have mattered, anyway, I was determined that I could... more

This is a thouroughly enjoyable day for the whole family. I had never been whale watching but when I saw this listed in my guidebook I thought we had to do it as I love whales, dolphins and indeed most sea creatures. It's not cheap compared to some other attractions I've been to but it's worth every penny. Check in... more

Went on the 9/09/07 10 AM trip as friends had highly recommended the whale watch. Sign when boarding indicated "2 to 4 foot waves (a bit bumpy)." People were warned as we pulled away from the dock to take motion sickness medication if needed. What I wasn't prepared for was the high speed which made it very dangerous to walk... more

The day we went whale watching was amazing. There were lots of whales and my kids were in awe the whole day. The vessel was clean and the crew were very helpful along with a great naturalist to point out different fun facts on the whales and other marine life. I would highly recomend for families looking for adventure. more

more often than not, there are very few whales, if any. And if you're going to go, pick a very nice day, as it is much colder out at sea than it is even on the docks. the little catamaran boat looks a lot bigger than it is when it's tied to the dock. no matter how prone you are... more
