While walking the Freedom Trail on Tues, July 17, my sister and I stopped at Faneuil Hall Marketplace. We are not shoppers so just window shopped. This is one of my favorite places to visit when I go to Boston. Yes, it IS busy, sometimes overwhelmingly so. But, you can't beat the hundreds of unique shops and eateries. Quincy Market is definitely a top tourist spot and filled with them ... but you can't beat this area for the people watching, shops, and restaurants and street performers. Be sure not to miss Fanieul Hall itself, run by the National Park Service. It won't take long to see. Nearby is the Old State House, Haymarket, and North End. Quincy... more

Sure, the buildings look neat, but it has all the same shops back home at the mall (Discovery Store, Gap, Armani Exchange, etc...) Don't waste your time. more

This place was packed. They tried to make it like the South Street Sea Port in NY. Packed with a lot of people having fun. A lot of people were watching shows on the street outside, which was cool too. Great place to hnagout and eat. more
