I've been to Faneuil Hall Marketplace twice - once in like 1999 and then again in 2008. Except for a different selection of stores and the addition of another Cheers pub the place hasn't really changed. It's a great place to explore, shop, relax, eat or just people watch. This is probably the best place you can search for souvenirs.... more

This was the highlite of Boston. Great food hall and the lobster rolls are to die for. We were disappointed with Boston as a whole it had no buzz whatsoever and the bus tour was hop on hop off but it kept forgetting to stop at some stops and at others it would not pick us up so we spent... more

While walking the Freedom Trail on Tues, July 17, my sister and I stopped at Faneuil Hall Marketplace. We are not shoppers so just window shopped. We then decided to stay for lunch considering all the places to eat. The food was ok and seating was almost non-existent though we were able to find a place upstairs. Don’t get dessert... more

My friend and I visted Boston last week and we went in this area almost everyday! We loved it! It was a lot of fun, with a lot of cute shops, good and mostly cheap food, and entertainment. more

This is one of my favorite places to visit when I go to Boston. Yes, it IS busy, sometimes overwhelmingly so. But, you can't beat the hundreds of unique shops and eateries. Be sure to check out the one-of-a-kind stores, not just the standard "Victoria's Secret, Body Shop, Limited, Gap, etc". We ate a nice lunch at Cheers in the... more

Re: the other reviewers' comment: tourist hell... This has always been a place where most Bostonians avoid or go to strategically. There's nightlife here that you can't find elsewhere in the city, a big afterwork crowd... The store include most mall stores (increasingly...before it wasn't like this)... There's a loud crazy foodcourt in the middle where you can get a... more

Quincy Market is definitely a top tourist spot and filled with them ... but you can't beat this area for the people watching, shops, and restaurants and street performers. Be sure not to miss Fanieul Hall itself, run by the National Park Service. It won't take long to see. Nearby is the Old State House, Haymarket, and North End. Quincy... more

Sure, the buildings look neat, but it has all the same shops back home at the mall (Discovery Store, Gap, Armani Exchange, etc...) Don't waste your time. more

This place was packed. They tried to make it like the South Street Sea Port in NY. Packed with a lot of people having fun. A lot of people were watching shows on the street outside, which was cool too. Great place to hnagout and eat. more
