An early morning hike up, (and I mean UP!) the Maryland Heights Trail was the perfect way to start the day at Harpers Ferry, WV. Just be sure to dress for the climb and carry a water bottle. There is nothing for kids to do the were bored and wanted to leave. And as far as the shuttles from the vistors center the drivers were rude and not very friendly. If you are old and like this kinda of stuff , fine but do your kids a favor and don't punish them with this trip. more

We boarded a bus at the Visitor's Center and were taken to the "Lower Town". The three of us and one other person were on the bus.
