This market has just about everything, from tofu puffs to whole chickens (feet and all). Make sure you go on an empty stomach, because there are plenty of vendors, and many have samples to offer. The Ferry Building was lovingly restored and is now filled with cute shops and restaurants, like a cheese shop, wine bar, Peets Tea & Coffee, bookstore, kitchen supply store, etc etc. My mother and I visited during afternoon commute time, when the main entrance was crazy with commuters trying to reach their ferries in time.
