What a really fantastic place! I visited with 3 friends last Saturday - we spent 5 hours there and I could have stayed all weekend! I was surprised at how many adults were there without kids. I adopted a baby orangutan for £30 and received a picture, brochure, certificate and free entry for 1 year - only down side is... more

went to monkey world last weekend and had a BRILLIANT time - one of the best days out i have ever had in the UK. i'm no expert but the monkeys looked content and well looked after. the park is imaginatively laid-out and there are plenty of picnic areas and play areas for the children. for those with mobility problems... more

my partner took me to monkey world for my birthday as i watch the show all the time. This is the most amazing place I have been. I could not believe how much the primates seem to enjoy their days. My partner adopted a chimp called Bart for me for a birthday present and i would say this is well... more

Visited Monkey World Sept 2008. Great attraction. My partner and I have been adopting their chimps for a few years but had not managed to make the journey down there. The park is awesome. They do really amazing work. Entrance was £10.50 per adult but you get free entrance if you have adopted a monkey - which costs roughly £25.... more

This is a wonderful day out for the whole family - from toddlers to Grandparents. Don't expect a zoo or performing apes. The animals at Monkey World have all been rescued from appalling cruelty and brutality, the stories of the mistreatment they have suffered in the past are heartbreaking, but this is balanced by the fact that they now live... more

We took two young children there last week (7/8/08) for a day trip. Parking was easy, admission reasonable but as soon as we got inside it became apparent that the enclosures were fabulous for the monkey residents inside but not geared towards the visitors at all and least of all small children. Vegetation around each enclosure grows tall and wild... more

We had a fab day at monkey world. The staff were great, the talks very enlightening and informative. You'd think a whole day just looking at monkeys would get boring, but not at all. The rescue work done here is wonderful and the animals are really well cared for with lovely enclosures. If you have difficulty walking too far you... more

Having seen Monkey World on the TV series I had to visit & was looking forward to it for months! I was not disappointed - it was amazing! The actual place is big so there is lots to see, a lovely woodland walk & loads of places to stop for a break. This is a brilliant day out for all... more

At first I thought the entrance fee was a little on the steep side, but once inside I realised it was excellent value for money. The park is very well laid out, and although it was busy on the day of my visit, there were no queues and no pushing and shoving. The childrens' play areas are well equipped, and... more

this seems to be marketed a lot at families but is just as good for adults! saw a lot of couples / older families there and everyone was having just as much fun. if you go later in the day you see the feeding - great in the chimp enclosure! more
