We were fortunate enough to arrive just as several classes of schoolchildren had completed a visit and so we had the entire place to ourselves for most of the time. We were at the Heritage Center last week, June 2008. I can't say enough about our time at the heritage center. The people who worked there, are SO friendly and welcoming! The information was fabulous. This is great for children and adults!!! The children will love the interactive displays and the parents will love the information on our country's history!... more

This is in some way geared for youngsters, which means we adults probably enjoyed it the most. Every handle you turn, or lever you try has a "voice" speaking to you about what it was. There are competitions about old western movies and tv themes to test your memory. Best of all is the movie they show at the beginning,... more

During a short vacation we drove from Oklahoma City to Duncan on a rainy day just to see the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center. What a pleasant surprise. We were most impressed with the cattle trail theater (Chisholm Trail Experience Theater) experience but the automated and interactive displays and hands-on exhibits were very informative as well.
