We went on a Tuesday. The lines were minimal, and the experience was incredible. We both went right up to the Hurricane Deck and were just amazed at the power of the water and the views. It's amazing to see a dry rock in the center of a big gush of water, or the little trickling mini-falls next to the... more

We followed the previous advice and had a fantastic time. They didn't need to give my kids the ponchos, they tried to get under as much of the water falling as they could on the Hurricane Deck. You *can* stay dry though by tying the hood of the poncho around your face. We went late afternoon on a Sunday and... more

The Cave of the Winds is an experience like no other. You are given sandals and a rain poncho prior to the elevator ride and you need it! If you like to get wet, this is the adventure for you. You will get up close and personal with the falls and feel the wind that they create. The further up... more

A must do if you are going to Niagara Falls. The falls are beautiful from the top, but from the bottom you really get a sense of the power of the falls. You are equipped with a rain slicker and free sandals, and then taken down an elevator to the foot of the falls. From there you climb up a... more

When I first saw the walkways and boardwalks for the Cave of the Winds, I was a little intimidated, but it was easy for me, an out of shape middle-aged woman. In my opinion, this was one of the most fun experiences of our time in Niagara Falls. First they herd you into a room and you are asked to... more

No wonder this site is rated number one on the list of things to do on the New York side. It is amazing to get so close to the Falls. You will get wet! We saw the boardwalk for the Canadian version of this (Journey behind the Falls). Cave of the Winds looks so much bigger, closer. So if you... more

Not to be missed when you want the full Niagara experience. We went last June 11 and it was such a wonderful experience. A lift takes you down then you walk up the catwalk and then you can literally let the waters of the Falls wash over you. Please note that only Goat Island, New York has this. more

I visited Niagara Falls summer 2005. Cave of the Winds was one of my favorite parts of my whole Niagara Falls experience. And though I have to admit that the Canadian side was more enjoyable for me, Cave of the Winds was great. You get a poncho and flip flops to prevent getting wet. but know this, you will get... more

Don’t skip this. It is by far the closest you will get to the Falls. You will get wet …very wet. Soaked to the skin if you want. But it is the coolest! Quite literally depending on the weather. As you are probably aware there is no cave other than the elevator down. It is walk way right up to... more

I liked this attraction so much I can only hope everyone gets a chance to go there, too. First I didn't want to go because we had been to "Journey behind the Falls" before which I didn't enjoy at all. But then my boyfriend persuaded me to come along. And I had the time of my life! You get slippers... more
