This park is about 2 hours away from where I live, and I try to get there just for some fun once a year, and because I have Six Flags Seasons Passes for La Ronde and all the other many Six Flags parks. i went at the end of June, 2008, hoping to have an alright time like I have... more

...was the money leaving your wallet. Way overpriced. How much profit is in a $12 refillable cup of soda? I'm not opposed to someone making money...but their pricing is way overboard & about greed. I was prepared for a ripoff on the way in. But it still bugged me every time I opened my wallet. The park is not well... more

Unless you have an extremely large bank account, don' t bother going the The Great Escape. The tickets alone are $40! Of course that does not include the $10 parking charge ($20 if you want to park near the gates). On top of that, they do not allow you to bring food into the park. So, we ended up paying... more

I've been going to Great Escape since I was a little girl and it was called Storytown. Granted, it's changed a lot over the years, but the park is still great for families. It's not as big as some other Six Flags parks, but that can be a good thing. My husband and I have a 9 year old boy... more

Now, this being my home park an hour and a half away, i was excited for another great day at the great escape, mostly just for the comet wooden coaster. Well, i got at the park 20 minutes before opening along with others. The day looked like it was pretty busy, but still one of those days where you could... more

If you compare this to a Great Wolf lodge you will be disappointed. It is however a very nice hotel and decent water park that can be a lot of fun. Our room during labor day weekend was very clean and quiet. The hotel was also clean and seemed very well maintained with a few exceptions. Housekeeping came at very... more

Definitely not a great park for kids over 8 or 10, maybe. There's really only a couple of coasters. However, my 4 year old daughter was delighted by the Cinderella's pumpkin coach ride and even built up the courage to sit next to Cinderella in the coach. That poor girl in the prom dress that has to talk in Cinderella... more

OK maybe I love Great Escape because I have been looking at photos of me as a child riding the Princess carriage ride for 30 some odd years... so there is a nostalgia thing going on for me every time I am there I remember being small and going to storytown and going into all the tiny houses.... SIGH… That’s... more

I've been going to Lake George since I was a small child and really looked forward to bringing my own kids and seeing them enjoy the things that I did. In the 70's this park was called Storytown and was always a highlight of our Lake George vacation. We arrived at Great Escape at 10am and by 3pm we were... more

in comparison with other Six Flags parks this one is pretty pathetic. Unless you are into kiddie rides save your money. My family was there July 7,2007 all but 3 of the adult rides were closed. The food is way over priced. Let's be serious....$8.00 for a hot dog!!!!!!!!! That's just crazy. When you get there at 10 and the... more
