I absolutely loved this museum. I am a huge Rockwell Fan and I must say seeing his work in person you see how truly talented Mr. Rockwell really was. It is unbelievable the detail he put into every piece of work. My boyfriend and I made it a day trip driving from Long Island NY, it took about 3 hours... more
Tucked away off a quiet road in Stockbridge, MA, is this museum that houses a majority of the work of Norman Rockwell. The land the museum sits on has some of the best views and is one of the nicest spots out here in this quaint New England spot. The place looks just like any museum, respectable and orderly. It... more
The art part of this museum is great; the staff is terrible! They appeared to be grumpy old people with nothing better to do. They were reluctant to answer questions and never cracked a smile. In all fairness, we visited this museum quite a few years ago 1999, so the staff may have changed. The staff's attitudes really spoiled our... more
What a great piece of history and not bad for a leisurely day of scenic viewing. I have very specific tastes in art but something about Norman Rockwell and his work. The museum is located in a very nice New England setting and perfect for a day getaway and a little relaxation. Nothing is rushed here and you can walk... more

this is a fantastic museum. Mr. Rockwell put so much into each painting, they are amazing. Take the docent tour, audio tour and enjoy every room. It is worth every minute that you spen here. Lunch was very pleasant also. more
I have always wanted to see this museum but never been in the area. Well, last weekend we were and we went. What a great couple of hours. The grounds are beautiful, the buildings are interesting and the docents are knowledgeable and upbeat. Of course, the star of the show is the art itself. I'm not a terribly sentimental person... more
The Norman Rockwell Museum is a necessary stop when in the Berkshires. Familiar art from the Saturday Evening Post comes to life on the walls of this museum. Kids will find the images accesssible and enjoyable. Parents can recall the history of America and another era. The museum is a few miles from the center of town and easily accessible.... more
Anyone who remembers the Rockwell covers of The Saturday Evening Post should treat himself to a visit to the Norman Rockwell Museum. Besides seeing originals of some of his famous paintings, you can step inside his final studio and hear stories about his family, his neighbors, and his prolific career. As a baby boomer, I reminisced about my own childhood... more
