We visited The Hancock Shaker Village in May 2007. The Shaker Village has a wide range of exhibits showing the Shaker lifestyle and belief system. Wonderful. You can learn so much but need to attend available programs. We also read sings, looked at many photographs and asked many questions. It is a gorgeous setting. Many of the views have nothing of modern life in them at all. You might as well have traveled in time back to the serene 1800's. While it is interesting to see how the Shakers lived, I found this "musuem" lacking in many ways. There is very little information provided to enhance the experience. An excellent indoor/outdoor museum. Great interpretation, lovely exhibits, well laid out and just a beautiful place to visit. I would say pretty handicapped accessible, and easy enough to bring a stroller. Give yourself a day here - there is lots to see.
