My husband and I attended this dinner show on our first night during our recent September vacation to Disney. We were staying at the Polynesian and had been looking forward to this show for quite awhile. We honeymooned in Hawaii and attended 2 authentic luaus and we were excited to see Disney's twist on it. But it ended up being... more

Had dinner there 9/2/08. It was my last night at Disney. It cost two sit downs on the dining plan. Pay cash don't waste dining plan on it. It's cheaper to pay cash. Save sit downs for places like Le Celier. The show was entertaining. The coconut bread was great and then it went downhill food wise. The beer and... more

um...it's sad to see extremely talented authentic polynesian performers made to do corny, unethnic, offensive, dance routines. there are lots of ways to fuse disney with polynesian...but this is ridiculous. the show is literally cut in half. first is a lot of fake polynesian actors portraying poor dialogue of real polynesians. and the second half is AMAZING traditional enjoyment. the... more

Really enjoyed the Spirit of Aloha dinner show. The story line really isn't that great and they should think seriously about changing it. We were told to arrive forty five minutes early to check in for the luau. We were greeted while walking down the path to the ceremonial house with aloha's and a lei. The dancing is beyond amazing.... more

It is worth doing once. A lot of money for ribs and chicken but a good show. I went with my teenage daughter loved it, on the Disney dining plan, I did say teenage daughter . but the next year we took dad and still had ribs and chicken and a good show. Worth doing for all ages, wonderful way... more

I have attended Luaus on Oahu and the big island and this is as good or better. The food and service are much better. We will be returning to a show in late July. Enjoy Tom more

Everything written in both the good and the bad reviews is absolutely true. My family and I went to the luau this past weekend, and had a great time. My 6-year old daughter was thrilled to go up on stage. The story is too contrived, but the dancing is beautiful. The ribs are really good, while the rest of the... more

I waited until a week ago to read the reviews of this show posted here on TA. I'd booked the show 6 months ago, and my family has been looking forward to it for the same length of time. After I read the reviews, I thought, "Uh-oh." I then warned my family that there was a good chance we would... more

Okay, I'm going to be a voice of dissent from recent reviews. We went to this show last week and loved it. Yes - it's hokey. It's a luau at Disney for heaven's sake! Our food was good, not steller, 5 star food, but the chicken and ribs were moist, the rice pilaf was good, and they brought my teenaged... more

We went to the Spirit of Aloha as a group of four: my husband, our children (ages 12 and 6) and myself. I thought the experience was just so-so. If I had the chance to do it again, I definitely wouldn't. I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. The positives: our waiter was friendly and attentive; the second part of the... more
